The Big Bear Lake Film Festival

There are thousands of movie festivals around the world, but none can match Big Bear Lake’s film festival for sheer beauty, fun and showcasing of the best new talent in America ...more
Richard David Boyle, President of Teachers for a Change, an international education foundation dedicated to fighting for rights of students and teachers, issued a 34 page investigation report in 2008 that:
Exposed waste of taxpayer money and accreditation, such as two million budgeted for outside consultants and $800,000 in travel to Hawaii and Myrtle Beach.
Good news: The travel budget and money spent on "consultants" has been cut, and the budget for "outside attorneys" has been slashed in half, saving taxpayers $250,000.
Fought to reopen ten closed classes at Crafton Hills College and rehire great teachers who were fired to pay for a $330,000 do nothing "consultant."
Good news: Teachers are working extra hours to see that the fewest number of students are turned away, but classrooms are now crammed to capacity.
Worked with the business community and organized labor to implement "Helmets to Hardhats" Apprenticeship programs. This will mean real good paying jobs for returning heroes of combat in Iraq and Afghanistan and best of all, cost the taxpayers NOTHING.
Apprenticeship programs at other community colleges, such as De Anza/Foothill have resulted in hundreds of graduates getting good paying jobs. Teachers for a Change is working closely with labor unions, such as Teamsters and Building Trades, to create similar programs at Crafton Hills and San Bernardino Valley Colleges that would result in hundreds of new jobs.
Teachers for a Change is the only education foundation that by exposing election fraud in the 2008 election actually returned money to taxpayers, while others just tax and spend.
